How to say OK in Arabic

With the Arabic word Hasanan (حسناً) you can express that you agree with someone or something. The English equivalent is ‘OK’.

Another word that is a little more colloquial is maashee. It is very common and widespread. You can use it in many situations. The word maashee is also used as a possible answer to the question ‘How are you?”, which is in Arabic:

كيف حالَك؟

kayf Haalak?

كَيف حالِك؟

kayf Haalik?

You can answer by saying:

ماشي الحال

maashee al-Haal (Everything is OK).

This answer is quite informal and best used only with friends or people you know well.
